I’ve rarely encountered a work of storytelling that resonated with me as deeply as this one did.

It’s disheartening to see someone who once seemed agreeable now expressing views that feel rooted in prejudice and negativity. I can’t recall what initially drew me to his work; perhaps there was a comedic element, but currently, he comes across as a source of harmful bitterness it's best to avoid. It's genuinely disappointing.

It really gets at the heart of what it’s been like living through the COVID crisis, encompassing things like the impact on people's emotional well-being and how endless feeds online have taken the place of real-life connections that used to be commonplace.

There’s an unexpected degree of racial animosity present, although it wasn't entirely clear whether it was portrayed authentically. That could be said for a good portion of *Inside*—and many of Burnham’s other performances—which seems to hold a certain appeal.
