This was truly terrible. The performances were poor, and I can’t believe they cast someone from Australia to play such a central role in a story dealing with a significant period of Irish history. There are so many unbelievable events that occur, and it feels like a disrespectful portrayal of a really important and devastating event in Ireland's past. It’s just appalling!

It's a truly impressive movie that really makes you think, and it manages to feel quite evenhanded as well.
