This movie elicits a pretty sleepy reaction. It’s true there are aspects to appreciate, particularly how lovely the locations look. My main problem with it comes down to this: when a film lacks even a fraction of the depth or emotional turmoil seen in Bergman's work, referencing that filmmaker feels unjustified.
