Synopsis

Set in Tunisia around 1980, the film follows Si Béchir, a skilled craftsman, as he moves his family from the old city to a new development near the capital. He and his son Ali, along with his niece Aziza, adjust to life in this changing society. Aziza befriends Aïcha, a young actress who introduces her to the world of theater. Ali pursues his own ambitions, seeking success in the new city. The arrival of a wealthy sheikh from the Persian Gulf sparks hope and desire among the residents, particularly for Ali.
