It's certain to become recognized as an important film within the LBGTIQ+ community; it’s remarkable that Georgia has something like this as part of its film history, not only because of how well it’s made but also for what it stands for. The movie portrays a conflict between old ways and current realities, with what's to come hanging in the balance, brought to life by Levan Gelbakhiani’s incredible first performance, which is certainly among the best seen this year. Levan Akin has created something special—a powerful expression of love, national identity, tradition, art, and perseverance.
