The Cheshire Cat’s absence is noticeable. While I didn’t hate it, the repeated close-ups focusing on Alice’s dialogue became tiresome. Jan Švankmajer's trademark stop-motion animation remains superb, though; that’s really why it earns a rating of 3 stars, and those are the issues holding it back.
