I had an embarrassing experience while watching—during what seemed like a really important part, I accidentally passed gas and began laughing at the awkwardness of it all. Then, as one of the characters on screen was crying, my laughter escalated, and I found myself unable to control it, even getting teary-eyed myself. That actually happened, and it ended up being my favorite part of the film. My brother suggested I watch it, and I really hoped I would enjoy it, but honestly, it's just unpleasant. The music choices give away that someone around my age was involved in its creation. It feels like pure self-centeredness—like a spoiled adolescent who never matured into an adult. The person responsible for this is awful. That’s the impression I’m left with. I don't care about the father character, and I have no interest in seeing his troubled daughter attempt to heal. I want nothing to do with anyone connected to this movie, unless they intended it as a sharp critique of how narcissism can become a damaging legacy for those who come after them.
