Synopsis

Villaviciosa de al Lado is a quiet town whose economy depends entirely on its historic spa. When the town hall faces financial ruin and the spa is threatened with closure, Mayor Anselmo and his colleagues discover they've won the Christmas Lottery. Their joy quickly turns to dread when they learn the winning ticket was distributed by the town's brothel. This sparks suspicion among the wives and fear among the husbands, especially after the brothel owner, Mari, announces that the lottery prize will go to almost all the men in town. To secure the prize and save the town without facing the wrath of their wives, Anselmo, Ricardo, César, Juandi, and Paco devise a plan to steal the money from the brothel. Meanwhile, Mari struggles to reconcile with her past and honor the memory of her father, a former mayor.
