I really didn’t want to sit through another movie relying on shock value and sensationalism. It comes across as tasteless, attempting to upset audiences without any substance. There’s nothing fresh here; many other films have explored similar themes with some kind of narrative framework. The director described the film as "modern-day colonialism via sexual exploitation of a poor country's human resource."
