Synopsis

*30 Ans* follows a group of friends over three decades, bound together by their passion for theatre. The story begins in Paris in 1974 when Aurelian, his girlfriend Barbara, and childhood friend Antoine found a theatre company. Inspired by the situation in Pinochet's Chile, the theatre gains the attention of Jeanne, a young actress who quickly attracts the affection of both Aurelian and Antoine. When Chilean actor Luis, a dissident, joins the company through Barbara’s diplomat father, Jeanne and he begin an affair that abruptly ends when she vanishes. Eight years later, Aurelian has a new girlfriend and is directing a touring troupe, while Antoine works as a consultant and secures a performance for Aurelian in Dunkirk. Aurelian, grappling with a mid-life crisis, remains deeply in love with Jeanne, keeping her picture and writing about her in his diary.
