This film held a special place for me during a particular time in my life. It’s genuinely difficult to find any fault with it. Kat embodies perfection, although her character would have been even better if she appreciated KD Lang's music, and the way that poem is presented is also flawless. Patrick set the standard for male characters who put on a show.

This film is genuinely amusing. I’ve always enjoyed those offbeat romantic comedies from the tail end of the nineties and the beginning of the two-thousands. There’s something inherently humorous about witnessing awkward or mortifying situations unfold, especially when someone is attempting to make a good impression on a woman.

A contemporary adaptation of Shakespeare’s *Taming of the Shrew*, set within the walls of a high school, manages to find humor in the familiar story. The production evokes the feel of a romantic comedy from the 1980s. It's best experienced simply as an enjoyable piece of entertainment.
