Synopsis

Basilio, stung by Zorro's repeated defeats, exacted his vengeance by arresting Sergeant Garcia and displaying him in the public square adjacent to the cuartel. A bold proclamation challenged Zorro to intervene, but Diego understood Basilio’s cunning; hidden lancers would undoubtedly be positioned throughout the area. As night descended, Zorro emerged, aided by Bernardo in orchestrating a diversion that lured the soldiers away from the town.
