Synopsis

Ricardo departed the town, yet contrived to create further complications for Diego before his departure. Still consumed by his affection for Anna Maria, Ricardo declared to her that Zorro would reveal his identity should he truly love her. The irony was sharp, for Diego did love her, and with that realization, he began to contemplate surrendering himself. The governor, seizing the opportunity, offered the outlaw amnesty in exchange for a public confession.
