Synopsis

An envoy from a distant nation has come to the pueblo to discuss arrangements for aiding the Eagle in his uprising. Agent George Brighton cautions Varga against any overt defiance. His government desires a compliant colony, not one consumed by internal conflict. Varga assures him that control will be delivered as agreed, yet he remains troubled by Don Alejandro and the other landowners who have sworn loyalty to the King.
