Synopsis

The imposter Ortega and the magistrate declared they had apprehended Zorro, and a cart bearing a masked figure was drawn into the town square. A public unmasking was scheduled for noon, and Diego feared an innocent man would be falsely accused of Zorro’s deeds. He suspected a trap, and so, donning his own disguise, he spurred his horse toward the square, watching the surrounding buildings with keen eyes for any sign of soldiers.
