It’s surprising how much Disney was able to accomplish with Zootopia; it really is an exceptional animated film among their releases. It's hard to believe that a bunny cop could result in something so impressive. The plot manages to be consistently interesting, and you find yourself trying to figure out what’s really going on. Even when you think you have a sense of things, the complete explanation stays just out of reach, which only makes it more fascinating. Nick Wilde is also wonderfully done; he complements Judy perfectly. The connection between them, their friendship, and how they grow as characters all work incredibly well together, making their story completely absorbing. Beyond the film itself, I have to bring up Zootopia+, a really great animated series that expands on the world of Zootopia. It offers extra details and a new look at aspects of the narrative, giving you a different understanding of what was presented in the movie. The series is excellent by itself and adds a lot to the overall experience—I suggest checking out both.
