Synopsis

The conflict at the University of Tokyo erupted in 1968, marking a period when many young people actively resisted state authority. One afternoon, a train-bus collision resulted in a surge of injured being brought to Honetsu University Hospital. Maiko Okamoto, an intern and medical student, was assigned to assist with their care. It was there, beneath the wreckage, that he encountered Taku-chan, a boy who had lost his right arm and left leg.
