The air hung thick with the scent of blossoms as she tended her garden. A sudden, shimmering cloud descended, enveloping her in a golden haze. She was lifted, carried aloft by buzzing wings, towards a structure of honeycomb and amber light – the heart of their realm. There, crowned with wax and pollen, she became Empress. News of her abduction reached those who loved her, and they set out to reclaim her. They found her not a captive, but transformed. She radiated a strange power, a heady in
