Synopsis

Theodore Long, newly appointed General Manager of SmackDown, declared a contest for the vacant United States Championship. The competition would be an Eight-Man Elimination Match, featuring John Cena, Booker T, Rob Van Dam, and others. Meanwhile, Eddie Guerrero seemed to embody his own philosophy of expediency – lie, cheat, and steal. But Kurt Angle was discovering that such tactics often led to unforeseen complications.
