The return of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin to WWE, just days before the Invasion storyline ignited, proved a lesson in unintended consequences for Mr. McMahon. As Austin prepared to team with Kurt Angle in the main event, facing Rhyno and WCW Champion Booker T, Diamond Dallas Page began a calculated scheme to draw the legendary wrestler away from his scheduled match.
