In a thunderous announcement, Mr. McMahon declared that Triple H would defend his WWE Championship at Survivor Series in a triple threat match against "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and The Rock. Meanwhile, discord within the Rock 'n' Sock Connection threatened their Tag Team Championship reign. Elsewhere on the card, the New Age Outlaws faced off against The Acolytes. And adding a somber note to the evening, Big Show received difficult news, while Chris Jericho issued a challenge to Chyna.
