In a brutal main event, Roman Reigns clashed with WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens within a steel cage, both men visibly battered six nights before WWE Clash of Champions. The intensity didn't subside with the bell; Rusev and Seth Rollins soon entered the fray, and Rollins launched himself into the air for a second time that evening.
