As Wrestlemania IX drew nearer, the lineup solidified with Bret "The Hitman" Hart set to face Fatu. In another contest, Doink the Clown would clash with "The Birdman" Koko B. Ware. The formidable Money Inc. accepted the challenge issued by The Mega Maniacs. Mean Gene Okerlund provided a preview of the event, and Lex Luger, alongside the Steiners, were also scheduled to compete.
