Synopsis

Thomas Cromwell's shrewd maneuvering in matters of marriage secured a vital alliance for Henry VIII: Princess Anne of Cleves became a key figure at court. This calculated diplomacy promised to forge a Protestant power in the north of Europe. But would this union truly deliver on that promise, or had Cromwell’s fortunes reached their peak?
