I had high hopes for this, but it turned out to be a short run—just one season with only ten episodes. A lot of time felt misspent as the characters were kept in earlier periods. The character Douxie is something else; we really didn’t know him well beyond his appearances in *Trollhunters* and *3Below*, and then suddenly his complete background is presented, but it seemed abrupt. Another thing that bothered me was how hurried everything felt. Also, while I'm glad Jim is human again, I think it diminished the ending of *Trollhunters*—it almost felt like a slight to Anton Yelchin’s memory. However, there were some good things too. The complete cast was great, and the large battle between the knights and trolls was impressive. I also appreciated learning about how the very first Trollhunter came to be. Overall, it wasn't bad. I just wish it hadn't been so fast-paced, and that there had been more than one season.
