Synopsis

The disappearance of Andy Reynolds, a Marine discharged in disgrace, draws Jack to Tokyo, the city where Reynolds once admitted to a brutal assault. Stateside, Reynolds’s past continues to unravel. His former colleagues delve deeper into his life, uncovering a recent, calculated act: he’d persuaded the victim to record a sworn statement declaring he was not the perpetrator, motivated by news that a past lover had given birth to his child.
