I’m still trying to find Will Trent. My wife enjoys this series, I’ve followed the book series, and for several seasons now, I’ve been searching for Will Trent, yet he remains elusive. There is a character who shares his name, but that individual isn't really Will Trent. He doesn't resemble the person readers have come to know and appreciate, and his behavior is quite different as well. I suspect ABC and Disney examined the novels and decided, "Will is too fair-skinned, apprehensive (both physically and emotionally), fit, and endearingly awkward... let’s replace him with someone else and Mr. Beanish." To their credit, they don't beat you over the head with **_THE MESSAGE_** as many other shows do when they change lead actors. It wasn't a standard Netflix/Disney type of alteration; if it were, he would have been an overweight lesbian Black woman. Nevertheless, he was still replaced, along with other characters, and the show is largely the opposite of what’s in the books... but at least they don’t constantly shove **_THE MESSAGE_** down your throat, which is a positive aspect. It's acceptable if you haven’t read any of the novels, however for those who have, it feels disrespectful.
