It's a genuinely lovely, touching, and memorable series. The individual episode stories varied; some were quite good, while others really stood out. Of the 16 episodes, there are about five that I’d happily watch again. The legal elements were well-done, the comedy was consistently funny, and the relationships between the characters felt relatable. The show's overall story was thoughtfully written and grounded in reality. It avoids the usual predictable formula of a simple romance where everything ends perfectly; instead, it explores the complexities and difficulties that can arise when two people who are initially strangers become friends and start to develop feelings for each other, but face obstacles along the way. The acting, on the whole, was excellent. The performers convincingly embodied their characters’ personalities. However, I noticed something in the later episodes with more kissing scenes – the lead actors seemed uncomfortable. Perhaps those scenes were filmed early in production when they hadn't yet fully settled into a comfortable working relationship; if so, it wasn't ideal. In those specific moments, there was a lack of genuine emotion from both actors; it felt purely performative and detached. The supporting cast also did a great job, creating memorable characters, especially during the comedic scenes where they delivered perfectly. Throughout the series, only five out of the 14 songs in the soundtrack really made an impression. These tracks were used effectively in their respective scenes, and I wish they had been incorporated into more moments, or at least played instrumentally instead of some of the other music choices. I've already watched this twice – once with the Filipino dubbing and recently with the original Korean audio. *While You Were Sleeping* is a drama that anyone can enjoy whenever they like; it’s lighthearted and very romantic. Suzy Bae did a wonderful job portraying a charming and beautiful character who would easily captivate someone at first glance. Great work, Suzy! Keep going!
