"What We Do In The Shadows," a television adaptation inspired by the 2014 movie of the same name, shifts the setting from New Zealand to the United States, likely aiming for a larger American viewership. While the show features primarily British actors and incorporates production staff who worked on the original film. The decision isn’t necessarily poor, but like its predecessor, the humor will probably resonate with some viewers while leaving others cold. I personally enjoy unconventional and understated comedy, yet I had difficulty finding the initial two episodes entertaining. I would characterize this series as more intriguing than genuinely funny. There are other shows with a similar tone, such as "Being Human." However, it distinguishes itself enough to warrant consideration, especially because of the vampires' frequently ridiculous obliviousness to how much the world has evolved. Their long lives haven’t made them insightful; they’ve simply aged and become outdated. Overall, it's a respectable attempt, deserving of a rating of 6/10.
