Synopsis

A familiar sting of mockery from the others landed on Arnold, this time centered on his perceived inability to offer a secure future for Mary. He retreated then, melting into the city's anonymity. Mary, concerned, sought him out, her gentle reassurance a balm to his troubled spirit. She reminded him of the strength of their bond, and together they made the decision to build a life as husband and wife.
