Even with its displays of considerable brutality, the writing and overall feel suggest that this series is aimed at a younger audience. A lot of the conversations felt awkward to me as an adult; they seemed juvenile, and it's not unexpected to find the kind of progressive messaging that’s become common in Western media. This feels contradictory, considering the unpleasant and frequently graphic violence I encountered in the initial episode. The performances are adequate, and so is the plot, but if the intention was to appeal to older viewers, I believe it completely fails to do so. 5/10.
