Synopsis

The death of Manfred Stjarne, stabbed outside the Brada cider factory, casts suspicion upon Jan Kowalski, a Polish worker with whom Manfred had been having an affair. Kowalski is later found hanged, though evidence subsequently emerges suggesting foul play. Benjamin Wilkes, a former psychologist who assisted Manfred in selecting redundancy candidates, meets the same fate as Stjarne, initially pointing fingers at disgruntled ex-Brada employees.
