Synopsis

A power grid explosion plunges Ystad into darkness. Inspector Wallander (Krister Henriksson), enjoying a crayfish party with colleagues at his new home, is roused from his celebration in the dead of night. Simultaneously, the municipal commissioner of Ystad, who had just inaugurated an exhibition of images depicting the Muslim prophet Muhammad at the city hall, is found murdered in his residence.
