Synopsis

In the picturesque countryside of Skåne, southern Sweden, a blue car rests beside a quiet road. Inside, a child sits alone, no adult in sight. The father is missing, presumed lost, and the mother is confined to a psychiatric institution, withdrawn and unresponsive. With Kurt Wallander’s health declining, Linda takes charge of the investigation. As she uncovers the truth, she is deeply affected by the child's story – a tale of callous deception, exploitation, and profound humiliation.
