Synopsis

A woodland picnic, enjoyed by three young people in costume, ended in a brutal massacre. Their bodies were discovered amidst the trees, and a friend of the victims was found murdered nearby. Before his death, he had confided in Wallander, revealing that his colleague was gay, a cross-dresser, and a man of deadly intent. This killer, it seemed, had added three more innocent lives to his grim collection.
