Synopsis

C.D. accepted the position of acting head of security at Golden Wells, a resort of considerable refinement, filling the vacancy left by the previous occupant's sudden disappearance. He inquired of Grady, the assistant security chief, regarding his predecessor’s fate. Grady offered a curt explanation: a problem with alcohol. C.D. then sought out the Sheriff to confirm this, but the Sheriff denied it outright. C.D. offered his assistance nonetheless. Unbeknownst to him, however, he had witnessed G
