Synopsis

Boyd found himself tasked with integrating a new colleague, Detective Superintendent Sarah Cavendish, into his team. A rising star previously sidelined following a discreetly handled operational setback, she was now of equal rank. When the long-abandoned car belonging to banker Donald Rees surfaced – three years after his disappearance – Boyd chose to lead the investigation, hoping to offer some measure of resolution and peace to the man’s family.
