Synopsis

Having secured the treasure from the Franks, Askeladd’s company journeyed back to Gorm, a village on the Jutland Peninsula in Denmark, to weather the winter. Thorfinn proposed a duel to Askeladd, a reward for the successful acquisition of the Frankish captain's head. Though battle had honed Thorfinn's skills, he remained no match for his adversary.
