Synopsis

Crossing the river, Askeladd fled from Thorkell into Wales with Canute. Yet, as they reached the border of Brycheiniog, Askeladd's followers were ambushed by soldiers concealed amongst the rocks. He sought out the messenger, attempting to parley, and laid bare his scheme.
