Synopsis

Six months have passed since the battle of Kattegat, and Bjorn now wears the crown. The weight of kingship proves a heavy burden, and he finds himself unable to find solace in his mother’s counsel. Meanwhile, Ivar has fallen into the hands of the Kievan Rus, where he encounters Prince Oleg, a ruler whose ruthlessness and unpredictability may finally offer him a worthy adversary.
