Synopsis

The time-honored journey to Uppsala, undertaken to honor the gods, stirs a deep well of feelings within Ragnar, Lagertha, and Athelstan. Ragnar, distancing himself further from his wife, seeks solace in confronting the grief of his lost child. Lagertha, still raw with the pain of her miscarriage, hopes to glean a future of sons from the deities. As the Vikings gather for sacrifice and thanksgiving, Athelstan rediscovers the unwavering strength of his Christian belief.
