Synopsis

The death of a Hungarian Countess, found drowned in the opulent bath of her hotel suite, appeared to be a self-inflicted tragedy. Suspicion immediately settled upon her psychoanalyst, Max Liebermann. Investigating Officer Oskar Rheinhardt, however, recognized a deeper complexity and formed an alliance with Liebermann to unravel the circumstances surrounding the Countess' demise and restore the doctor’s standing.
