Synopsis

Complaints from envious officers were mounting as Vidocq’s tenure with the police stretched on. Mr. Henry, his superior, was increasingly inclined to dismiss him. Then, a chance for redemption arose: the police museum had been burglarized, and the Emperor's hat and the Black Diamond were gone. Vidocq had only a few days to recover the stolen artifacts before the Emperor’s official opening of the museum.
