It’s become typical for these kinds of shows to begin with expansive settings and significant financial investment, only to ultimately deliver something underwhelming. Although there was action to be found as the series progressed, it didn't match the quality of the initial installments. The storyline wasn't strong enough to make up for this decline. There seemed to be a deliberate lack of polish and an odd sense of absurdity from the director that felt like an attempt to emulate low-budget action movies. It became increasingly difficult to watch, regardless of any perceived entertainment it might offer. Considering what transpired over its sixteen episodes, it was surprising they left so many plot points unresolved, clearly setting up a sequel that won’t actually occur! I wonder if the whole thing was some kind of elaborate prank. Aside from a few action sequences and scattered moments, I didn't find much worthwhile in this series.
