The relentless rhythm of Haku’s days – laboring from dawn till dusk and then poring over books late into the night – was beginning to take its toll. Yet, his diligence was rewarded with the promise of a vacation. Embracing this newfound freedom and a small sum of money, he journeyed towards the capital city.
