Synopsis

The relentless pursuit defied all expectation. Earth technology, inexplicably capable of tracking objects traveling at eight or nine times the speed of light, had followed the unidentified craft to its origin. A probe, equipped with a camera, was poised to return the visitor home. Yet, as the mission neared its conclusion, a SHADO operative attempted to dissuade Straker, arguing that their efforts had been futile despite the remarkable images they had captured of the alien world.
