Drawing inspiration from the older film starring Arnie, we have True Lies, now as a series. It’s gently entertaining, not particularly intelligent, and relies heavily on explanations rather than action. The show attempts to be funny but doesn't quite succeed, though the main actors do have decent rapport with each other. The action sequences are acceptable, but very predictable; you’ve likely seen similar things countless times before. There isn't anything fresh or unusual about it. Essentially, this is something to watch when there aren't many other options available, or if you’re looking for uncomplicated and mildly engaging content. True Lies will do the job in either case.
