Synopsis

The death of a Merlotte's waitress has cast a grim shadow, and suspicion falls squarely on Jason. It is clear, too, that the victim had been in the company of vampires, and Sookie knows precisely where to begin her inquiries. Bill introduces her to Fangtasia, Shreveport’s most notorious vampire establishment, and to Eric, the city's oldest vampire. Her investigation promises to lead her down paths she could scarcely have imagined.
