Synopsis

On December 22, 1984, Barry Allen, Troy Canty, Darrell Cabey, and James Ramseur were all wounded by gunfire from Bernhard Goetz. While returning home, Goetz shot the four black men on a New York City subway car. Though he asserted it was an act of self-defense, the incident ignited a highly publicized and sensationalized trial that earned Goetz the moniker "Subway Vigilante," as he maintained he had fired upon the four young men following a thwarted robbery attempt.
