Two years have passed since the events of season two, and detectives Andri and Hinrika find themselves pulled far from the familiar city streets, deep into the rugged Icelandic highlands. The discovery of a murdered cult member within a cave stirs a disquieting recognition in Andri. The deceased is the very young man Andri had once believed responsible for a woman’s vanishing in 2013.

To ascertain the extent of Hopper’s involvement with narcotics, Sonja dispatches Sverrir as an infiltrator to the biker gang’s warehouse, where Hopper gauges the depth of his loyalty.
Sverrir’s vanishing triggers a police search. Andri, under the conditions of his probation, makes a visit to his mother. Meanwhile, Gunnar learns he has fallen out of favor with Hopper.
